2007 Production - The Sound of Music

About the Story

Little introduction is needed for the musical Von Trapp family who left behind their beloved Austria in early 1938 rather than submit to the increasingly powerful German regime. Their escape is accomplished by fleeing across the mountains into Switzerland. These same hills which were "alive with the sound of music" in more tranquil times no offer the means of beginning a new life.

Our Production

A Message from the Director

This year's Ridge Players' cast features the largest number of children ever to be included in one of our shows. They are very excited to be part of a production which gives them the opportunity to sing so many wonderful songs. Use your imagination to leave behind the flat terrain of southwestern Ontario and travel to the Austrian Alps.
